Heather's birthday? Check.
Valentine's Day? Check, survived.
St Patrick's Day? Check, after waking up at 2 pm on my buddy's couch and hoping that the yellow puddle in the kitchen was just a spilled beverage, not someone drunkenly missing the bathroom.

Actually, St Patrick's Day went great this year! I DDed as always, but only had to cart around 4 people (last year, I had two car loads). No one got belligerently drunk, no one got sick and we stayed up unil 8 am playing Wii Sports.

Unfortunately, with this holiday over and done with, the NEXT major event is MY birthday. I hate my birthday. It has nothing to do with getting older or anything like that. Years ago, my mother chose my birthday as perfect time to explain to me that my father was having an affair and she had kicked him out of the house. Seeking solace with my friends, I drove 2 hours to my old alma mater, and visited with my friends who were still in school... and got stuck there when a week long blizzard hit town. Honestly didn't mind being stuck in a town with my friends with nothing better to do than to watch movies for a week, I just hate snow in general and don't like the inability to pick up and drive anywhere at a moment's notice.

At least on the plus side Tekkoshocon is coming up... Last year's Tekko was one of the best cons I've ever attended and I'm looking forward to it again. It's going to be the weekend following my birthday, so at least there's that. I need a fun vacation to get my mind off of things. Lots of things worrying me at the moment... going to try to not think about them tho!
